Are you losing focus and attention by trying to squeeze so much in to your schedule?
Is it difficult to switch off from your responsibilities at the end of the day?
It’s as if we have come to accept that feeling distracted, stressed and exhausted is part of being successful and performant. But it doesn’t have to be this way!
Mindfulness at Work is an eight-week training programme that will teach you a new way of navigating life’s demands, without opting out of your responsibilities and what’s important to you. Mindfulness is the quality of awareness that comes from paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, without judgement. It’s a different way of being in this world that results in happier and healthier outcomes. It’s a practice that can be learnt using a simple toolkit by applying intention, commitment and courage to change your experience. Meditation is at the core of this practice, as is self-reflection, daily practice and self-compassion.
This programme is for you, if your experience of stress, anxiety or low mood get in the way of doing your job well, and you want to manage yourself better in the workplace. It is tailored to meet the needs of professionals who are juggling a lot of responsibilities at home and at work, and want to increase their enjoyment of both, with better time and self-management.
Mindful trainees meet weekly for meditation tuition, they practice daily with the help of recordings and a workbook, and buddy up with another trainee to share the learning journey.
The course includes:
Trainees complete pre & post programme markers of psychological wellbeing and workload management, measuring impact on workplace behaviours and stress management. These findings can be presented as an outcomes report for your business.
If you’re unsure if mindfulness training is for your workplace, or even if you’re unconvinced of its potential to improve performance as well as employee wellbeing, we offer an interactive workshop, highlighting the scientific evidence base and inviting employees to judge for themselves if mindfulness practice helps. The workshop can be a stand-alone health promotional event or an introduction to our full 8 week programme, with an option to gauge interest and review training needs.
Invite your employees away from their desks at lunchtime to walk in silence with basic mindfulness tuition through the gardens and parks of Cambridgeshire, creating the necessary cognitive break to enhance afternoon productivity, at the same time as taking gentle exercise.
